Are kiosks required at every hub?

Social Bicycles stations do not require kiosks, reducing costs and station footprint. Kiosks may be recommended for high-density tourist centers and transit hubs. Please see the Kiosks section for more information.

The Social Bicycles system provides more sign-up options than traditional programs, including access through any computer's web browser, and any iOS or Android smartphone.

Additionally, wireless tablets can be mounted in partnering businesses near hub locations to provide walk-up registration. Signage at the station directs users to the local business for registration. This option is significantly more affordable than a kiosk, and provides almost the same functionality at a lower price.
